I sautéed some garlic and thinly sliced onions and bell pepper and added a bit of balsamic vinegar at the end. Then I threw it on a croissant with some smoked turkey, cheese, and fig jam. I had some spicy pan seared broccoli with it.

    Those both sound awesome!

An avocado bowl, a coffee, and a sugar cookie. Apparently I need to take late-night cooking lessons from you guys. :emoji_stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

That sounds really delicious! What went into your bowl.

I think you mentioned it, but I can't remember. Did you make your own rub recipe, or did you use someone else's?

    Found a new meat source?

rub from scratch, @L Lemon made it and tweaked it and i tweaked it a bit more. I like a lot of a mustard flavor in my rub when i make pork so its still being tweaked with more dry mustard and a few more things. and yeah a new meat place, one local and one aldi. aldi is good but not exactly the cut i want. the local is the cut but they are kinda wishy washy at times

He was making a bourbon jus for his pork chop, but I would not have let a flame grow that tall in my house. It looked like he opened a portal to hell for a second lol. The final product looked tasty though

I have the same issue with short ribs and beef ribs in my area. If the local stores have them, they don't cut them how I like, and the local butchers are so-so :/

Avocado, onion, cilantro, and some local burrito truck green salsa. Guacamole-esqe? It was pretty tasty for a scrounge meal.

    basically in a nutshell yeah
alsi has super fresh pork chops and all kinda meats. but they are usually either thin or very little fat
i like thick cut pork chops with a nice fat ring so when it cooks you get that nice buttery flavor with them and the seasoning
kinda same with steaks, a nice fat ring, you can crisp it up or melt it down
the local place does that cut wise but the prices are higher and they are not as fresh so its a toss up
good cut, meh fresh or meh cut and good fresh
