It's a place for community as well. Knowing that everyone in here is going through some form of the same hell you're subjecting yourself to. At the end of the day though we are fighting each other over work due to the limited number of tasks and how this job works. You can't be shocked people aren't going to take food out of their own mouths to feed you.
There are a lot of very helpful people here but you need to be personably and make yourself a likeable entity to get help.

 

I remember back in the day we'd just have a massive turker orgy to settle any conflicts and get along with each other. Now it's just stupid drama with no orgies.

 

Nuance is difficult on the internet.

 

I've gotten some great help from a couple individuals and I'm certainly grateful to them for reaching out.

But I'm sorry, I can't get on board with this everyone versus each other mentality

I've mostly kept my head down and I work my ass off daily. I am not asking anyone for help ever. I do my best to answer what questions I can and I've provided help where possible, including detailed descriptions of my work process and what improved for me...

I was hoping that being a community of people struggling to put food on the table we could look out for each other, but I guess things are what they are

 

some people on the forums used to say "always feed yourself first". the implication isn't selfishness or greed. it's that you help other people after you get what you need. so like never post or review good batches, but do help with other things.
