    Description: As a participant, you will be asked to take part in a 5-10-minute survey about a recent experience with a salesperson or customer service representative (CSR).

    This is not a typical customer survey. In addition to asking about your experience with the salesperson, we'd like to understand your reactions to how the salesperson treated OTHER customers. We even want to ask about how they treated their company's property or equipment, such as product inventory, point-of-sale systems, computers, or the workspace. You will be asked questions related to this experience as well as questions about your perceptions about the salesperson and your general attitudes towards marketing tactics.

    To be eligible to complete this survey, you must have had a face-to-face interaction with a salesperson or customer service representative (CSR) within the past 3 days. It’s critical to this study that this interaction also meets the following three criteria:

    1) You were able to observe and hear how the salesperson or CSR interacted with other customers prior to your interaction with the salesperson or CSR. (For example, you might’ve witnessed how the salesperson interacted with another customer while you were waiting to talk to him/her.)

    2) You were able to observe how the salesperson or CSR interacted with company property. (For instance, you may have noticed how the salesperson or CSR handled product inventory, how neatly they kept their work area, or how they treated their company’s equipment or tools).

    3) The salesperson or CSR tried to sell you products/services that you had not initially planned to purchase.
