02/07 - Farmer Friday!

Got a rejection from Dr. McBride for the $5 survey that is still up. Her approval rating is now 17%. She insists that the screening questions should have taken 10 seconds, and people were only rejected if they were screened out. I spent ~6 minutes on this and put my time in the review as ~8 minutes initially, as I thought I was moving pretty quickly, since there was a short timer. There was no code, but the generic thank you message at the end (nothing about being screened out).

Think it's pretty clear this requester is unfairly rejecting/ she even acknowledge in her email that it is her 1st time using mturk, so I think the error is on her end (screener set up wrong or something).

Going to reply to her again before contacting the IRB, which I will do, if she doesn't reverse the rejection. I'll put the IRB info at the bottom of this if anyone else got rejected. ****If anyone has access to that hit and can share the survey link, I actually wanted to double check the survey before replying to the requester directly or contacting IRB. Thanks for any help.

IRB at North Carolina A&T State University - contact the chair of the IRB through the Compliance Office at (336-334-7995) or (rescomp@ncat.edu) and reference study number HS24-0190.

Numbers were also listed for the researchers doing the study Maranda McBride (336?-285-3359), Joshua Edwards (313-204-1834). Guessed on the last digit of the area code of Maranda's since it was missing, but think it's the same area code as the IRB office.
