My 16 year old son came to me and @Dave a few weeks ago with this huge plan for practically the rest of his life.
He'll turn 17 next year towards the end of his junior year he wants to join the National Guard as soon as he turns 17, go to basic traing that summer, come back finish high school then go to college at Penn State for engineering and the make a career out of either the Army or the Air Force
Kid has is stuff together and a plan but about two days ago it dawned on him that this plan pretty much means this is his last summer of freedom he is alternating between being kinda sad about that and making all kinds of grand plans for things he wants to do....this could be the summer that kills me or makes me go totally grey
