    We got COBRA info a week after he left. It was 2k for us and we opted out lol, we will pay the fine at the end of the year for the month we didn't have coverage/

    Check out the good rx discount card for the prescriptions. I'm without insurance until October, and the card took my prescription down from $185 to $40.

    Yeah, thinking that will be my plan as well. Hoping to secure something else before too long and have an okay fall back plan if I have to, just a lot less than I'd like to make.

    If you guys don't have insurance and go to the doctor, the state (depending on yours) generally allows you to see if the visit will be covered by medicaid or medicare. You might think none of this is applicable to you, but they allow you to apply for the insurance once a year through this system. I got it at 27 years old. They will send your information from the office of your visit and apply for you, then you just have to follow up with a phone call.

    We have insurance now thankfully but I'll let my sister know about this because she's been having issues and can't afford insurance through the marketplace
