Can't figure this out. MTurksuite isn't reading average hourly correctly. Kadauchi recommended that I let someone that handles Turkerview know. Didn't see any email address so posting here. Here's an example using a specific requester I noticed today: So on MTurksuite it shows an hourly of $3.93 & this url is used: https://api.turkerview.com/api/v1/requesters/?ids=A1T6GRE8WV3KGH However, the average should be higher than that & there are more than 4 reviews. https://turkerview.com/requesters/A1T6GRE8WV3KGH Any ideas why that is?
@ChrisTurk I suspect the issue might be that CT had to redo the API a week or two ago and it's still ingesting information so some of the totals might be wonky. However I shall tag him and he will come and answer.
The caching for the API server has simply been broken for too long. The way that third party apps consume data from TV is insecure, I cannot change/fix it w/o cooperation from third party devs, and its way beyond indie dev 'lol lets just throw up code everywhere & see what happens!' days, unfortunately. I'd love nothing more than to get MTS an upgraded, secure way of consuming data from TV & integrating it into that app because it is bar none (by far? I don't want to google the phrase) the most important piece of tech in the MTurk space.. but we both kinda do our own thing & idk what his plans for the future of MTS are (+vice-versa I'm sure?).. its just something that'd require actual cooperation/planning between us lol
MTS is going to become MTS LTS when I can get it code up to a respectable standard and steal a few QoL things that have been reqeusted. I'll definitely need this when I get to the requester reviews portion of the refactor. If you don't mind I'd also like to add some basic TV features so people can leave reviews.
I think I must be in the wrong place. I still haven't figured out what hits stands for. I did a search on someone I answered a few questions for as I had concerns about the privacy policy. I do enjoy doing surveys, if anyone cares to guide me I would truly appreciate it
Yes, this is the wrong thread for questions but you're new and it's understandable. A HIT is short for Human Intelligence Task. It is any task or job you accept on Mechanical Turk. You may find the following glossary of terms helpful. https://turkerhub.com/wiki/Glossary-of-mTurk-Terms You may also find the Wiki helpful https://turkerhub.com/wiki/ If you have questions, you can probably find an answer here. https://turkerhub.com/forums/help/ If the answer to your question isn't there, post it as a new thread in that section. Welcome to the Hub.
I had to disable the wiki b/c it wont update its routing properly, it just returns a redirect loop when enabled atm.
