Happy New Year everyone! I hope this year will be better than the last for everybody!

 

Look at all these bots back at it already at the ass crack of dawn on January 1. You gotta respect the work ethic. No whining about having a hangover, no taking a day off, no pointless small talk about what they did over the holidays - none of that nonsense - they just wake up and immediately get back to the grind, creating new accounts on TurkerViewHub. They understand what's truly important in life and they are locked in.

 

I've got to wonder, what is the point of the bots?

 

No idea. My guess would be that they are creating a whole lot of accounts on random forums and then trying to sell them in bulk on "hacker" forums to whoever is dumb enough to buy them. :dunno: That is unless they are state-aligned actors, in which case it would be very hard to tell the end goal as those can be very creative and long-term-oriented.

We also have a different group of people creating accounts like 888supercasino777 and adding a link to their [usually gambling-related] website to the "Home page" section of their profile. These people are doing SEO boosting (specifically something called profile backlinking), because Google will eventually pick it up and register it as one more website (TurkerView in this case) pointing to their website, which increases "trust" to that website and boosts them in the search results.

 

I knew about the second one, along with the "come see my sexy pics" type profiles that show up every now and then, but the bulk selling of TV account to use for possibly nefarious reasons. That sounds like something only our Dear Leader (this should totally ping @ChrisTurk by the way) could do...

 

Yeah, those are actually just me. Guess it's time I finally confess. :blush: Was trying to get you guys to rate my nudes, not one of you clicked on the link... :oops:

 

I mean, yeah, why would we want to see some random ass. If you had put that they were yours, we'd flock to see the real butt of the butt hat. Is it the same, is it different, these are the real questions.
