so I can't turk rn so I turned on dateline. does anyone else ever notice how dateline can make anyone sound like a saint or the devil? this episode dateline is like this -

after this wonderful man cheated on his wife and then divorced her, moved to another state with better weather, and mostly abandoned his young kids, his wonderful self refused to provide any comfort to his sister dying of cancer and then blew off the funeral. he immediately took advantage of his mom's loneliness with her daughter having just died by moving in with her and screwing her over financially. then this fantastic individual who was so beloved by all disappeared. oh and by the way, everyone who knew him told the police that he had a consistent habit of starting screaming, possibly violent road rage altercations. could it have been one of these horrible, obviously provocative and unhinged people who dared to drive on the same roads as him who caused his disappearance? what a shame, because the world has lost an amazing person.

edit: still watching. turns out he and his siblings had inherited from their dad. the guy that disappeared stole a truck that was supposed to go to another sibling.
