    Not quite. Similar, but you have to fill out paperwork in most states. It's also used for same-sex unions in cases where they either don't want or can't yet get married in their state.

    Matt and I share certain legal benefits because of ours, and would have to break it if we broke up. We would still be legally together until we break it. It's like Marriage Lite* in some places basically. But, that's very much what the surveys want to know when they list domestic partnership. I have a fun notarized paper that says Matt and I are legally domestic partners. I couldn't just claim that otherwise.

    Pros:
    Takes way less time than suggested. There should be a bonus.
    Cons:
    Can't copy and paste the code so make sure you have a pen and paper. Also might want to have your mturk ID written somewhere because you need to input that as well and you are supposed to be full screen.
