02/03 - Shining Saturday!

So I can tell you from my personal experience this probably is just be a lazy as fork visual bug. Whenever you convert a time format (datetime, timespan, w/e) into the hh:mm:ss format like that on the client side it.. uhh... it doesn't handle the days very naturally. They're just kind of out there, floating in nothingness, but on the back-end it should still be correct.

I bet you in ~1hr 37min that thing will flip to 23:59:59 when you refresh your queue.

I could be wrong, but if you ever look at anything I've written it'll do the exact same thing b/c converting to hh:mm:ss in every language I've worked with (php, js) just totally ignores anything beyond 24hrs and you have to handle the excess manually, which no one does apparently LOL.

 

yeah that's probably what's going on. I was just curious because I know this has been happening for awhile now. The hit still acts like it has the longest timer with others hits in the queue.

I was just wondering if anybody confirmed it yet or not.

 

I ran across the same issue (the survey had a week timer) last week but was able to keep the survey in my queue for days.

 

Well I was gonna say I hadn't seen anyone who mentioned it and you get to be our guinea pig but @noah_survived killed the joke haha

 

It's been so long since I've been on I typed MturkGrind into the URL bar before I had a chance to even think about it. Also... hi all! Gonna be doing some more Mturk stuff since I really need to get my own place soon, so I'm crossing my fingers I can find some motivation and bash some time-wasters to put the work in.

 

MTS 2.1.8 coming across got rid of my persistent green update button. So hurrying up and doing nothing worked.

Sometimes I hate having a really great week! Going back to a "typical" week becomes so difficult. I almost doubled my average weekly earnings this week (and I took most of Sunday off, and have not submitted a HIT yet today). However, maybe the requester will continue to post -- they have been posting every night except on Saturdays.

Also, yes, that's such a problem. Those weeks I make 250+ and then have crappy $150 weeks to follow, always a low. But knowing you got that high helps you achieve it again!
