We have a 250 SSD but roommate says I should use a 500 like my hard drive now- cause I can't copy this drive over to the 250 and he says it might screw things up with my Windows license. idk

Your windows license should be fine. I've swapped hard drives multiple times with no issues. And you shouldn't just clone everything on a drive, at least in my experience you wind up with a lot of crap that you'll never use anyway and you're just taking up useless space. Plus if there is any type of underlying issue with your setup causing the performance issues, it could likely be transferred to the new hard drive, continuing to cause you issues. I've dealt with replacing a lot of hard drives in computers that had been bloated with crapware, etc and we made them go through and get their important stuff and wouldn't just clone their drive.

RAM is not price fixed. People who say that don't know what they're talking about. Demand is at an all time high and it takes time to build factories. You can't exactly price fix something when demand is off the charts.

Thanks, sounds smart- the only thing I use this computer for is Turking and just started using it not too long ago- not much on it really- but, yah, if there is a problem, I don't want to carry it over.
But you have swiped hard drives to a much smaller one?

And you can always back up everything on the old HDD to an external drive and then you can access your files. But if your primary use is turking, I wouldn't put anything else you don't need on there, and you could probably get by with a 128 GB SSD. I use external and cloud storage a decent bit where possible as well to keep the bloat low on my local SSD

I don't give a shit what citations you produce. They're probably written by people that don't have a clue about the DRAM market. The three major producers of DRAM are pumping more product than has ever been produced and it still isn't enough.

They were unable to predict the popularity of IoT devices and streaming devices. They also underestimated the demand requirements for automation and machine learning.

On top of everything else, they overproduced when demand got really high when the smartphone craze started and ended up killing their profits and losing money. Right now they are tyring to balance making money and producing too much.

I edited this while you were typing- but, you have swaped drives and gone from a larger HDD one to a much smaller SSD, with no problem?
