you know, all these years, ive ALWAYS heard the radio play that one line unedited and been totally shocked they never censored it

 

So @hypersubtle , in response to someone's 'error problem' mentioned earlier today that you need to replace the "&" in a faulty link with a "?".
This is the way I've always dealt with the situation, and had no problems.
Still, as always happens, several people chimed in saying to delete the "&" and everything after it.
Is this necessary? Is there a difference? I can't help thinking that deleting your ID number might lead to problems.

Nuking the entire query string can also work, but why nuke when you can fix? Better to be safe than sorry, especially when the requester / webhost intended the key/val pair to be there.
