Um, no, that is not true. That would keep things from freezing and bursting (48 would do that) but all plumbing can get a leak just due to age and if it leaks a long time massive damage can be done.
And leaving that stuff open in the bathroom while you're gone won't stop a leak? I'm not sure what they're trying to accomplish here?
my house is never at 68 in the winter, lol. I'm too cheap to heat it that much!
It can be the line that runs from the water supply to the appliance. And any seal can come loose. Nothing is leak proof!
Dawn does dissolve grease!!! That makes sense. I use it to wash dishes so I'll start drizzling some down the drain more often.
I think this might have been caused by coagulation because it was so cold recently. It seems to have moved on but I'm keeping a close eye just in case.
Rock salt and Dawn are my new bffs.

Location EqualTo US,
I swear by these. Can confirm they work and are VERY loud.
They don't send an alert to my phone but I don't want another thing that relies on Internet. And when we are gone I do have people check my house regularly because I have the cats so they get fed by someone twice a day. I just want these bad boys to go off when I'm home and using appliances that can leak (or have them under the sink for leaks I might not notice for a bit and then my wood rots out under there.)
My water heater is located outside in its own insulated water heater closet. Good thing as it DID spring a leak in the hot water line a couple of months ago and fortunately Kiddo walked outside and saw it so we got it fixed but it had let a good bit of water out and on to my cement prior to noticing.
Next time my rentals are vacant I'm going to have my contractor put some sort of drain in the laundry room where the water heaters and washers are located just in case. Just want a place for the water to go...
Yep. 65-67 usually. Closer to 65. I wear lots of warm stuff all the time so I can be a cheap human.
(When it comes to utilities. I just dropped a bundle on candles which are purely hedonistic but they make me happy so...I spent the money)
Finally caught that Mark Gao hit, interactive storytelling ,and it says bad prompt and not secure, and won't start . Also got rejection from Viadmo Group, saying did not pass att. check. Otherwise good day for hits though.
This is why I like AZ. Daytime temps where Im at right now hover around 60, which is warm enough for me to leave the front door open all day. xD Throw a log in the fireplace at night and boom, steady comfort.

It's pretty warm here right now. 61 outside currently. I had the doors open until the sun got behind trees. But it has been getting into the 30s at night so heater is needed in the morning.
We have restrictions on how often we can burn due to air quality I'd love to build a fire tonight but it's a no burn day. However, tomorrow we can burn so I'll probably start one mid-day.
It's been a great day - made a new record PE, AND I got pizza for dinner! Hope everyone else has had a great Saturday so far
Good job, tater!
