I have no problem with this. But my SO doesn't have the time or patience for anything other than instant coffee or energy drinks. So this is the compromise.

I personally will be using the refillable little pods. I have no problem with grinding my own coffee but the convenience factor is not for me.

I do not have a fetish for these at all. It's the convenience for my SO and I will still be able to grind whatever I feel like by using reusable pods.

That's exactly what I personally will be using. SO will be using the single use pods.

I had a lot of trouble getting my coffee habits down. Honestly what worked for me was a) getting a metal coffee filter and b) grinding and filling the night before. I still don't manage to do it everyday but the savings do add up!
