How do I backup my HIT Tracker info?

 

Are you on Chrome / Edge? If so, then go to Tracker, then click Sync, wait for it to sync, then click Export -> Export MTSv3. That will save your Tracker data in a file on your computer.

If you ever re-install MTS, you can import it back by going to Tracker then clicking Import -> Choose File.

What do you do when you are stuck on a HIT even after your time is up? I was doing a HIT that involved annotation testing and included a practice run. I did a practice run, but I couldn't get off the HIT even after it had been over an hour.

 

Go to "Queue" and click on the Hit in question if it is still there. Then click "Return". If the time allotted is already up, just close window and move on.

 

I feel you. I was once stuck for a whole week in a broken 10-minute long Inquisit survey that just kept looping back to the beginning instead of ending. It was one of the most horrifying experiences of my life, I was so scared it would never end. As I watched the sun go down for the seventh time outside my window, I remember calling my family and friends to say goodbye, crying on the phone. But then the Inquisit app crashed and I was free.

People don't realize just how dangerous turking can be.

 

Did you message the requester and tell them they didn't allow enough time or the HIT glitched? Some may be reasonable and bonus you or create another HIT with your ID. You never know until you try.
