I agree, but you can upgrade the ram later. I'm not sure about the storage. If you don't download a lot of media, the storage might be fine.

@turker I didn't check to see if upgrading the ram now or later would be more cost effective

My last computer had only 4gb of ram too. I did nothing but crash . I recommend getting as much ram as you can, unless you can and are willing to upgrade later.

 

problem with that is, cause of all the WFH people right now, *ALL* pc components that are buyable on their own are being priced at insanely high rates. if you can get something with better ram and such already installed, thats the way to go

1 has a faster processor than the other. maybe I will get 1 of these.

 

I love the envy line. Good performance at a good price.

I have an i5 and it works well for me. If you think you need the i7 though, get it

yeah lmk, i know the ENVY is HP's more "gamer" line of computers, they are really nice though

 

Hah, this is crazy! I just ordered my hp spectre a few days ago, waiting impatiently on it.

 

yeah I noticed that! they seem like the gamers to me, but cost less money and aren't marketed as for gaming

why would anyone want to take screenshots of people's tv screens? plus I used to use a free phone app that almost got banned because of spying. I got a new ooma phone and now I'm getting a new computer. wondering if I have to worry about this kind of thing.

I got the same thing. "It has come to our attention"... Yes, motherforker, BECAUSE I TOLD YOU! Also, they direct to Tax Central which I've NEVER been able to access. So at this point I still don't know what they are reporting to the IRS.

Also, I feel bad for everyone who's already submitted their taxes and the difference is enough that the IRS might notice.
