Baaaah! That reminds me how much I hate the prick who does Hunter x Hunter because of his slow, sporadic releases.

 

I just spent an hour and thirty transcribing a stupid interview. At least it paid $1 per audio minute, but I had to actually bust out my headphone amp because of how quiet the speakers were.

 

Well I mean you what? Made ninety dollars cash money?

35.00, this file ended up being like 5500 words, which is impossible to write at a 1:1 speed.

 

I dunno. I read about professional transcriptions having peddles, and going hella fast.

 

Pedals to rewind like 10 seconds, some use voice recognition software too I think. But fast (and accurate) typing definitely helps

 

I would assume, like truckers, meth and/or cocaine also speed things up.

 

I have F1 and F2 to rewind/fast forward, autotext to help complete words quickly, and I can slow down or speed up the playback speed, but none of that is comparable to foot pedals. Foot pedals would make a huge difference in these things.

Still don't think with foot pedals, you'd be able to do a 1 audio minute to real minute speed though, because that would mean you somehow could write 5500 words in 35 minutes, which is... a 157 WPM, with no mistakes at all. :emoji_scream:

 

I think people use speech recognition software like Dragon to help achieve that speed. Just another tool to help like the pedal

 

I don't think it would speed things up as much as it would allow you to turk for 36-48 hours. Longevity versus efficiency, I would think all the strength comes in the form of longevity and it wouldn't change efficiency

 

Speech recognition still has a long ways to go. I have a slight speech impediment which you can only notice on certain sounds but no matter what I say that software just won't work with me.

This is the file I did - she made a mistake, all of the audio files are the same. I contemplated submitting all 3, but I decided that would be pretty good grounds for a reject.
