They may 'make money' in the sense of having revenue streams, but they've yet to turn a profit

 

Revenue streams is the new profit. You know the same can be said about Amazon btw

 

That's true to an extent. Amazon spends a lot on capex and innovation. They voluntarily limit their short term profit. However Twitter hasn't yet shown a viable business model.

They bought all of their development products afaik which means that Google got better at gathering your data

They bought "Twitter Fabric" which isn't like buying Twitter really I don't think cuz fabric is just a platform they created for developer teams to help make mobile apps with

TweetDeck still exists, but as a web version. They got rid of the desktop one. I use it everyday, because most of the other social media management suites are ugly or expensive lol.
