I am still trying to figure out the significance of how to cooking shows like Rachel Ray before the invention of DVR's. Like. Did people panic if the oven wasnt up to temp yet and the chef was moving on to the next part?

I almost want to see what that is like. I imagine it would be like it is now with a few new versions of that frog guy we don't talk about.

 

There used to be this badass mother fucker on PBS with a show called Frugal Gourmet.




He knew how to make quality programming.

My girl Simply Sara's videos are all like 5 minutes long, thankfully. She gets straight to the point.

 

I used to watch Julia Child nonstop growing up. It's helpful to see people actually DO things. And I like picking up ideas, getting tips, etc.

Plus, there's an entire audience of people who like to watch people cook but never actually cook that stuff themselves.

Usually because they can't afford it, live alone, and/or their mother won't let them touch the oven.

True true. I also know a ton of people who watch food network cause they like it, and have the time/resources but just don't wanna.

Matt will watch a ton of baking shows and you know he's not touching a mixer LOL.
