    Apparently this is what the forum looks like at 4am. My little tomcat Bearnie went into sudden death mode last night, and I can't sleep worth shit when I'm worried like this, so I figured, fuck it, I'll start on some work while I'm waiting to drive out to pick him up from the animal hospital to take him to our normal vet.

    Poor thing went from fine to deathly ill so fast I thought I was being paranoid, but about an hour later I realized he couldn't pee anymore and was vomiting up the water he had just drank so I hauled ass to the nearest emergency vet. He had a block so about 1300 bucks later he was in surgery to fix it and he has to stay in the vets office for a few days with a catheter and on fluids and such. He had some mild kidney problems as a baby so I'm hoping this isn't too bad for him going forward. It's the main reason I lured him over to me with food when he was a feral kitten, he was born in my old apartment complex and seemed somewhat sickly.

    I like cats in general but I've never been a huge cat person as far as pets I have in my house, but this little guy is my freaky little buddy who brings me gifts, kills icky bugs, and is generally the weirdest cat ever. He also sits in my lap like a little buddha or something when I'm working. Pe: -1300 + whatever the next few days cost I'm ok with that. I will probably be a weepy little Grinch until he's totally out of the woods though.
