    I've had a few times when I could smell what seemed like natural gas inside the house, or a gasoline smell in the car. Each time, my husband couldn't smell it, but we would find out that I was correct and got it fixed.

    Then there was one time just about a year ago that he smelled some kind of electrical burning odor. I couldn't smell anything. Turned out to be the energy saving light bulb that was in the ceiling right over where he sits at the kitchen table. We changed that bulb and it hasn't happened since.
