Good morning!
Just received my official letter from The White House telling me that my stimulus payment was coming two or three weeks ago.
The timing was a little 'off', but I was reminded of a little bit of largely unknown trivia when I opened the envelope.
So here's today's 'fun facts to know and tell'!
Did you know that there's such a thing as an "abhesive"?
The difference from an "adhesive" is the difference between the Latin 'ab' and 'ad', which are 'from' and 'to'.
Both of these stick things together, but the main point of an adhesive is to 'stick', and of an abhesive is to 'release'.
So when you get an envelope that opens easily without ripping itself to shreds, that's what you're dealing with! :)

 

I got a letter from my state's DOR saying that my tax refund had been applied to a previous past due balance.

My 2012 refund. Which I filed in 2013. And they only just now got around to telling me about it.

I'm thinking with all the unemployment claims, they must've added another hamster to their server room and finally started getting caught up on stuff.

 

Thanks Bob W (sorry about your stimulus craziness - we literally just got ours three days ago so, hang in there) .... I DO think your fun facts will definitely win me a pub trivia night question in the future.
