05/27 - Three-Star Thursday

Hey @Tiger33 ! Thanks for the help with picking out a new knife . I felt like I fell down a rabbit hole while researching options, but I finally picked one out. It's not from any of the brands you suggested , but I did look into what made those knifes useful and chose one that fit my cooking style and budget. I appreciate all of the help Now I just need a petty/pairing knife for small stuff, and I'll be set!

Okay but there's no blood on the knife so you clearly haven't used it yet, so how do you know you bought a good knife?

 

Can't right now. I mean, besides the 1 glass a day of clear-ish juice only, and that's pretty much entirely because I'm so hypoglycemic lol.

I like...really basically can't eat. I have to drink special apple juice that ensure makes that has protein and less fermentable sugar and such,. The pre-digested protein is the same stuff that tube feed you in a drink form.



My gp and kidney failure and spleen nightmare have all converged to make one, big ol' nightmare! But hey, I still get more steps than @ChrisTurk , so I'm ok Having been on the tube, I'll just look forward to my pizza in 2 months hehehe.

 

Also, I want royalties when you sell my fermentation!

glad you found one you love, that’s all that matters! Knives are so personal to what each person prefers and there are so many options. Taking recommendations as guidelines was an excellent strategy to employ

Honestly for pairing knives - we just get three packs on Amazon and go through lots of them. Husband is hard on knives and I've given up buying expensive pairing knives. They always break and sharpening them is hard.

Seems like you got a great, hefty knife though! We have a wide range of knives (husband was a chef) so everything from fillet to chefs knives - but I think you'll be happy with the one you got!
