    Wow, this is a really poorly-conceived HIT that expects people to be familiar with certain online communities but has no screening questions. This is going to go badly for the requester, but I actually know the subject, so I'll give it a shot

    Oh hey I guess the forum started working again for you and yeah the live chat DM thing you used doesn't notify people that use old reddit at all. The normal PM through reddit however will send a notification to apps etc and is just a more standard PM thingy.

    Amusingly I believe that reddit's thing might be arrow chat (only setup properly or w/e) and we have that here and it is disabled for most users because it sucks lol. @ChrisTurk
