06/09 - Taco Thursday

I think CR is sus AF, as the kids might say. They basically staged a hostile takeover of 90% of the surveys on mturk. Even if you don't have the CR qual you're still interacting with them on most surveys with those mini questionnaires on the HIT page and the code generator pages that only work half the time. That and the slow and stumbling roll-out of their own platform just puts a bad taste in my mouth.

I'll still work for them though, don't tell them I said that.

 

Has anyone actually gotten work on Cloud Research's platform?

 

I had an initial 50 cents survey, but you can't cash out until you hit $1

 

This was on 4/19/22, smh. Yea seems a bit iffy to me, didn't realize it had been that long ago.

I've gotten four surveys, three of which seemed more like platform testing measures than actual data gathering. It stands to reason that there's probably plenty of other changes behind the scenes involved with the platform's rollout so who knows how long it will be in "beta"
