Another day, another opportunity.

 

Best second night ever back at the job. I was sitting in the office, doing some really focused studies of the latest budget (ahem), when one of the servers dashes in and tells me that some guy just rode through the front door on a bicycle. I decided to rewind the security videos before I went out to see what was up. It was my boyfriend. The hostess held the door for him, and as far as I know, there are no rules about bicycles in the restaurant. I had to calm the server and find a spot for my guy and his bicycle on the back patio with a Guinness and a shot of scotch. He came to the restaurant to accompany me home tonight. He had a couple of extra bright lights for the bicycles. He's the sweetest, even if he is a bit of a ham.
