I have page jump disabled, but the window keeps focusing on new comments when I'm typing one myself. Is this something else?

 

stuff like this is why I hardly turk any more than I absolutely have to these days. way too many rejections.

 

If you don't (or can't) scroll down far enough the insertion of the new comment into the page will "push" the typing box down with live update enabled.. kinda just depends on if the 'users viewing this thread' has enough rows to push the posts all the way out of the picture so new insertions don't mess up the rendered layout
