today I realized that my finger is fat (on phone and laptop). first world problems.

 

oh yeah, my favorite "Doc", although I hear wokeness might make him problematic now a days....

 

I checked my sent folder in my email. it shows a long random string email address was used to send an email from my account. the recipient was qualetrics or whatever and had "register.php" as part of it. that is the same email connected to my mturk account.

anyone know what I should do? I have emailed requesters and stuff with that email. so whoever it is might have my mturk ID too, and first and last name and stuff. I'm just confused about how they got into my email account to actually send an email that ended up in my "sent" folder.

 

Wow, that's messed up. When is the email dated? Can you look into your browser history and see when you last did a Qualtrics HIT? Maybe delete all Qualtric cookies and change your password. I always delete Qualtrics cookies since Cloud Research seems to favor them, and they're as shady as the dark side of the moon.

the email from "me" was sent on may 2 of this year. I have done a few surveys this year. but I haven't turked much at all this year. other than my 2 favorite batches.

that's so messed up that the hacker may have gotten all my mturk data from qualtrics saving it there.

I just called qualtrics at both phone numbers. the phone answered and was silence on the other end, so I eventually hung up.

guess I have to change my pw's and whatever else now. and maybe have an account on qualtrics that I didn't sign up for lol.

 

If you read that link the "hackers" are probably from Cloud Research, they're just using Qualtrics to do it. They don't hide what they do. Cloud Research has you in their database, that's my bet.
