Are HITs that automatically download a file (with no warning) against a rule? Getting a little sick of this trend.

@Jane Doe someone from qualtrics told me that I don't have an account there with my email address. I didn't think of asking them to look up my mturk ID and name and stuff. so idk if maybe it was a hacker who wasn't good at hacking or something. but yeah I'm continuing to upgrade my security.

 

Why was an email sent to them from your account? I don't expect them to be honest.

I think it has to do with whatever Cloud Research posted, more of their deceptive tactics. Something is auto-sending information to Qualtrics, evidently through the email accounts. Not necessarily a hack. I wonder how many workers have had this happen, and evidently don't know. Makes me think logging out of email when working is a good idea. Not worried about batch work.
