Turking today as we are watching storm and weather updates for N. MS. So far... rain is coming and going with gusty winds up to 45-50 mph. Good thing is, we still have power and the garbage cans have not blown across the road, which is a first. Normally every storm the power goes out, but today we are blinking so that may change in a little bit.

If you have "islfvr8491 = 100" that means you're whitelisted by CloudResearch, meaning they think you're a real person and you are allowed to take their surveys on MTurk that have that qual.

 

You get that qual by doing one of their "Brief survey(~ 4 minutes)" surveys and then waiting for them to grant it to you. If you then mess up later on in one of their other surveys, they can take that qual away from you. It's the CR1 / CR2 thing, just now called islfvr8491 for some reason.

 

How's weather going in where ya'll are?? The wind has gotten more gusty here... Francine is at or near Jackson, MS right now.. so it will be a long evening and night here possibly. Does anyone watch James Spann's weather updates?? 2011 was when I became interested in weather because we lived through it... actually got caught out in it based on watching an area weather cast that said we had 10 minutes.... we really only had 1 1/2 minutes and got caught out in it trying to get to shelter. Based on what the town looked like afterwards... it was a miracle to have walked away from it and survived at all.

Is clicking the qualify the same thing as the ones that you take the test qualifications or are they different?? I was not aware of the qualifications where you took the test until I joined this forum. Thanks so much for the advice on the quals!!
