    My parents are in their 50s and still communicate as if they are in their 20s . You'd think after half a century they'd have picked up some effective habits that don't revolve around passive aggression and often times out right aggression when it's time to have a simple conversation.

    At least one of my ex's is educated and funny, so I'd prefer to talk to her frequently, every once in a while we'll chat each other up about current events and news.
