Feel real proud of myself. Installed new speakers in the front of my car and it sounds so much better! They were plug and play. :emoji_joy: But anyway, now I have to replace the back ones and I think they're going to be a lot of work. I played The Freshman and it sounded so niceeeeeeeee. Couldn't turn the bass up much since the back ones are still shit but hopefully that issue will be rectified soon!

Awesome! Great job on the speakers!

The Verve Pipe are from my college town. Used to go see them play at the local bars my senior year. :)

    Love this song <3

Looks like they're still touring too. May try to see them next year. I think this song came out around the same time as Brick by Ben Folds Five. I remember I liked it too but listening to it now hmmmmm that dude could not sing. :emoji_joy:

I hope they still rock! They played all over campus and then around metro-Detroit in the years after 1992 and were a lot of fun.

I think Ben Folds is definitely a better writer and producer than he was a singer. But that might be just me. (Loved his stuff with Amanda Palmer :) )

I DO like Pomplamoose's mash up of Ben Folds and Regina Spektor...

I never heard that song before. Sounds nice though. My likes kind of shifted from alternative (?) in middle to BB/pop music in high school and then rap/hip hop so I stopped following a lot of the 90's singers. Had no idea they were still making music in 2008! I've only been to one concert in my life and that was for Foreigner at a casino with my mother. :emoji_joy::emoji_joy:

    Oh my heavens.

I'm hoping post pandemic you get to see ALL the concerts. :)

I (think) I've seen Foreigner twice, maybe three times. They seem to open for a lot of bands and also crazily enough played a small show I went to about four or five years ago up here in Maine. I still have a T-Shirt that has their logo on it and says "Urgent" lol. That was a silly, fun show.

Also, fun fact: in High School I played keyboards on the song "Cold as Ice" for our Pop Concert. Lol.

The lead singer they have now is very good. I was kind of hoping to hear the original LS but I guess he's too old? Wanted to see Journey too but only with Steve Perry! Glad you enjoyed your $40 T-shirt. :emoji_laughing: They were asking crazy high prices for souvenirs at the show we went to. I wish they would have offered the keyboard or piano in band when I was in school. We didn't even have strings just percussion, woodwinds and brass I think. I played a clarinet but the only popular song I can remember from band was We Will Rock You. Usually we played big band, some classical or Christmas stuff.

Lol - @Azazael wowed me - so here is some classic Foreigner winning with Puddles.....just for fun! We all need some smiles, right?

(Seriously tho - Foreigner is not even in my top 40 of favorite bands - they are just something I grew up with and a lot of you guys might hear in an elevator now.)

Lol - I only accidentally saw Foreigner here in Maine - the shirt actually was free with the dinner they played. I think they may have been desperate.

Ohhh! I played clarinet from 4th grade to senior in HS. We are clarinet twins! We Will Rock You is solid clarinet soloing :)

I also took piano lessons - so naturally thought that I could definitely play any song that the pop concert at our High School did. (Not true.) I did learn how to play Kansas "Carry On My Wayward Son" and was - aside from YYZ by Rush, one of my finest keyboard/piano achievements.

I'm guessing you haven't seen my Puddles Pity Party posts before lol. He's the sad clown with the golden voice.

He sings often with Post Modern Jukebox - and is on loop a lot for me....

Yeah, I've never heard of him. Wilderness living, tiny homes and travel/food channels are my YT favs. You know, he sounds better than the original singer... :emoji_grimacing:

I was a booking agent for a lot of years and he (Puddles) was friends with a bunch of my bands and would show up to sing at NYC shows.

I was skeptical at first lol.

He has a lot of followers now tho- (including my nieces and nephews because they watched him on America's Got Talent) - I do love wilderness living, tiny homes and travel/food channel shows!

What's your fave wilderness living show?

Twins! I played from fifth to twelve. The recorder brought me into the fold. :emoji_joy: I always thought this was our song even though it was dominated by brass originally.

I think Goodman's version sounded better.

Anything Benny Goodman - especially this is full clarinet! Whatever brass - we all know that clarinet carries this!

    Omg - yes!

    Current clarinet rocking:
