Good news - they found my car! I was so sad when it got stolen because I spent almost all of my earnings from that HUMACI batch to buy it in cash, but glad it all ended well. :yesyes:

I kinda like Zed, it has some really neat features, but doesn't have most of the extensions I use with VSCode. Should I switch? Should I not switch? If I do switch I'll get some street cred points with the homies, but will probably be less productive in some cases because of the extensions situation. Dunno, life sometimes forces us to make impossible choices.

After about 3 days of trying to fix my daily laptop, I had to put it aside and get a new one... compliments of Windows updates. :( The update caused the issue and now it is stuck in BSOD.. I scanned it for 3 days and nothing helped it. Luckily I was able to get my old one working for right now... praying it keeps working until my other laptop comes in... My work depends on my laptop.. I'm in crawling mode right now... I will have to take several days to retake hundreds of photos of my listings I had ready to list because I think they are all lost now. Just sickened literally... I'm afraid to add any files to this laptop because I am trying to keep atleast a way to work on surveys, and such. This has been stressful and horrible few days... praying week ahead gets much better than it is right now.

I keep a chromebook just in case but some of my highest paying AI studies require windows and/or a real computer. sending the best of vibes and hope that you are able to fix it quickly.

I have tried to do that but it was not possible... I even let it scan, scan, and rescan to sort out it's issues... not able to do so. Once you get logged into it.. it literally goes back to blue screen after 30 seconds, which does not give you enough time to command prompt or anything. I think I will peg leg it with this pc and set my regular one up until I can get this one and that one fixed... in the mean time, I still have to have a something that works, but pray it works out.

It sounds like you're dealing with a critical issue, possibly involving a system crash or a "blue screen of death" (BSOD). Since you're unable to access the command prompt or troubleshoot due to the short time window, here are a few steps you can try to resolve this:

    1. Boot into Safe Mode:
    • Windows 10/11:
      • Restart the computer, and as it starts to boot, press the F8 key (or Shift + F8 for some systems).
      • If the system doesn't automatically enter Safe Mode, you can try booting from a Windows installation media (USB or DVD) and use that to access Safe Mode.
    • Once in Safe Mode, you can try diagnosing the issue (e.g., check for software conflicts, uninstall recently installed drivers/software, or run system scans).
    2. Use System Restore:
    • If Safe Mode works, you can use System Restore to revert your system to an earlier point when it was functioning correctly.
      • Navigate to Control Panel > System and Security > System > System Protection.
      • Under the System Restore tab, select a restore point and follow the instructions.
    3. Run Hardware Diagnostics:
    • If Safe Mode doesn’t work, it could be hardware-related (e.g., failing RAM, HDD/SSD issues).
    • Some systems allow you to run hardware diagnostics from the BIOS or boot menu. Restart and press F2 or Esc (depending on the system) to enter BIOS and run diagnostics.
    4. Use Windows Installation Media:
    • Create a bootable USB using the Media Creation Tool on another computer.
    • Boot from this USB to either repair your Windows installation or use the command prompt through the installation media to run commands like chkdsk /f or sfc /scannow.
If none of these steps work, it may require more advanced solutions, possibly even a full reinstallation of the OS. Let me know how it goes, and I can guide you further if needed!

Thanks!! I will be sure to... I was disappointed that this happened, but it worked perfectly fine prior to windows update during the course of the night. Not good when you really needed to list several listings... Caught me off guard for sure.. had I known this, I would have made sure to not allow windows to update, without me screening it... I made sure to select the option let me choose the update on this pc so this would not happen again. Funny story.. The laptop I am on right now is HP that has broken touchscreen since 2016. It worked for a short time about 2 months so I put in back in a case. I kept it in my closet until spring 2019, and I got this laptop back out of the closet. It worked great until March 2022, when it went to black screen boot loop, so I once again put it in case in closet. Then when my 2022 laptop (BSOD mode right now) went nuts on Saturday, I got this one out of closet and allowed it to scan and check for errors. Then yesterday it began working, I mean I had to start setup from scratch but happy and blessed to have a way to swing through until I am able to get a different one.

Plan is to fix both pcs so that the boys will have a pc a piece for schooling and in the unexpected, atleast I have something to work with.. always have something to fall back on I can't stress that enough. I appreciate your help so much!! This has stressed me out a lot because I am a housewife/stay-at-home mom/homemaker/online seller/ independent contractor and I really need things to fall through because it's hard to stay afloat right now on a single income, because what I do make covers bills, gas, and groceries. It really takes what I make plus hubby's job to keep going, with nothing really left over. We went through savings after everything started costing double what it used to... so yeah, with pc issues, it's more than made for a stressful weekend for me. Had to think out of the box and lots of praying, but I still have a way. :) Let me tell you, a phone and tablet will not even come close to helping me do what I can with a laptop.. android device is just not the same. Well.. off to bed... been a very long day. Hopefully tomorrow will be better. MGB!!
