Well, I didn't go that far in mine. Only threatened to bully his cat! People can be such savages.

 

I feel bad for another requester. Forrest Huang. His HIT was broken and couldn't submit (force submit didn't work for me). Contacted him to let him know and suggest a compensation HIT. Replied in 30min with a link to a comp HIT, all apologetic. That one didn't work either, sent another one in 10min (that one worked), again super apologetic.

He's been nothing but nice, yet I'm sure he received some not so nice emails about it.

 

lol yeah I have been working with him on that as well. Now he just needs to send a bonus and we will be solid.

He's super nice. Sending more than the initial HIT value as an apology.

 

People don't know how to be professional and let their emotions get the best of them. They forget somewhere along the way that there's a human behind that screen as well.

 

To be honest most academics are hardly human but he seems to be.

 

Yeah that's why I usually go the opposite direction and am as nice and polite as possible (although that might just be the Candian in me). I do feel bad for some of then when you can clearly see they're just not used to the interface and they simply made a mistake.

Pros:
Comp HIT (with extra bonus) for a broken task.
Took less time, but I increase the time to keep the hourly without the extra bonus (HIT was $3).
Super responsive and apologetic.
The initial task was to chat with a bot and get it to draw a scene. Not too bad.

Cons:
The timer was only 10min, but he said he would increase it in the future.
