We don't get statewide recognition, it's just our city and his company. I do get full health benefits with the same put of pocket as him. And I get extra life insurance stuff. It's pretty awesome. We've lived together long enough and share our bills so his company considers me his common law wife essentially.

He doesn't want his mom to know because she will LOSE HER MIND. He changed over a lot of stuff to me, like some of the bank accounts if he dies, the farm, his life insurance, etc. she's already mad about the bank and he doesn't want me to make it worse by letting it slip that I'm getting other benefits.

 

so what's she going to do when you guys actually elope? Or are you sorta waiting for her to no longer be around to do that?

We aren't domestic partners as far as the state is concerned because you need to be same sex or 1 person needs to be over 65. It's just the city and his job giving me the right to health insurance and whatnot without being married because they consider us together long enough and sharing finances enough for me to get benefits.

I'm waiting for matt to finally say OKEY DOKES and her not to be around to tell him to stop.

He just doesn't want me to tell her and thus rub it in I guess. Which is lame cause she's so mean! I just want to piss her off a liiiiittle.
