Hey Yall,

I'm in a bit of a weird mood tonight. My grandma passed away tonight. She had a long battle with kidney disease. My family and I were with her tonight and I held her hand until she took her last breath. I never thought I would ever be comfortable watching someone take their last breath, but she went peacefully. She was 93 years old and a fantastic woman. I have so many magical memories of her and I will always remember her.

But the reason I came here to tell yall this is because earlier this evening, I had sat down to turk. Then my mom got the call that my grandma only had another 24 hours and asked my dad and I if we wanted to go see her. We got up and went. I just now came back home, took a shower, and opened up my laptop. Well I'll be darn, there was a $5 survey sitting there wide open and half completed. I forgot I was right in the middle of it when we got the call. I clicked on my que and saw the bad news that it had long expired. It was that weird feeling you get when you finally catch a good HIT then get distracted by something else. You come back, remember you had it, but it's gone. I burst into laughter.

I thought that was a funny silver lining to a somewhat somber night. It reminded me to laugh, that life is still waiting for you, and it does indeed go on after death. We only get one life, so we should enjoy it.
