We have. At least three times now, told her we cannot keep working with it. But each time is a good reason and we feel like crap letting someone go for valid reasons (family issues, someone got hurt, someone fell down, daycare fell through, brother needed a ride, doctor appointment she forgot about, etc.)

 

People hiding waldo need to learn left from right. This is ridiculous.

Yes that is a lot! You could go by union rules. *( or large corporation) 1 time a month unexcused.. Otherwise a doctors note is required. Write ups for unexcused, so it is documented.if you decide to fire her.

 

Ugh. We like her. She's nice and she's good at her job when here.

We're going to tell her this time that it has to slow down (once a week, my goodness!) and if it doesn't we will let her go.

We don't get that formal being so small, but I have all the text messages and all the missed time is reflected on the time cards she signs and submits for payroll. So there is proof! We just haven't written anything down.

That's rough. I mean, you hired her to help out though. So when you're having to rearrange EVERY week...that doesn't seem like much of a help. Simply because most of the time call ins are last minute and then someone's left scrambling.

Exactly this. And she called out today and didn't give us an update. We're processing all of the owner's monies today and next two days. We needed to know if she was going to be here tomorrow, if not I have a friend who can come in and help. She never updated us. By 4pm we contacted her for an update. I feel like she could have updated us and let us know. I didn't even know she'd be out for the whole day!
