Yea that's basically what happened to me. I did a hit from the requester on 10/7, but when I started the hit I knew I hadn't seen that video before. By the time I got to the second part and remembered that section I didn't want to return it 10 mins in. I also thought that if the requester didn't know hot to use the qualtrics dupe check, turkitron, post a list of IDs, assign quals, etc that they weren't going to be vigilant about checking to retakes even if they considered this the same hit. I was dead wrong on that one.

Plus if you want people to police themselves and make their own determination if a hit that isn't the exact same is considered the same hit, might not want to use the most generic hit name possible - "Academic research study"

Why, on some of the hits that require certain qualifications that have a button for you to "request qualification" (no testing required) do I rarely get approval? Such as, I've read different reviews on the requester Ad Tagger, some good, some not so good. They have a BUNCH of hits up there, but it requires "premium ad tagger" qualification. I guess my question is, do they not need workers? I would like to have a shot at doing one, but can't, because I don't have the qualification. Maybe they have all the help they need? I don't know - just some days I feel like I'm spinning my wheels.

 

The request qualification button is added there automatically. Most requesters don't look at who requests and don't even know how to. Most will put out qualification hits. You have to be on at the right time to even know. It's all about availability and luck.
