that sounds great but idk how to affix outdoor lights without them blowing away in wind gusts? or possibly setting the apartment building on fire...I'm getting so many ideas but not sure how to do it safely.

Okay so first we used clear packing tape to put lights around our front door and found out that isn't the best way to do it (it only held for like 10 minutes). So we went to walmart and found command strips FOR CHRISTMAS LIGHTS!!! We put one on each corner of the door and just looped the lights around it. I think its curved enough to wear you could maybe place them on an overhang and hang them!! We have to actually try to pull our lights off the hooks. We've had them up for about a week or two now and they haven't come off.

Warning though, you do need to clean the spot where you will put the command strip. I just used windex and paper towel and dried thoroughly before placing the strip. We use command strips for everything inside and out because we don't want to put holes in the walls. They are like the best thing ever.

I would be scared for your utility bill if it was I saw so many people driving around taking home christmas trees today. I felt so happy for them! I freaking love christmas and everything about it. I wish it was christmas all the time. Decorating the tree along just brings me so much joy

 

I wouldn't have even thought of that *plans trip to walmart*

If you have a home depot nearby they have the giant packs of these by the Christmas stuff.

I wonder if you can use these inside on the walls??? I don't want to eff up our walls but THESE THINGS ARE SO FREAKING EXPENSIVE. We spent like $20 alone just in STRIPS.

 

We wanted to do real a real tree but saw a pretty AF flocked tree at the store and got that instead. Nothing like having a snowed on tree while living in Florida.Anything to make it not feel like we should have bought a freaking palm tree.

 

are you implying that the bay area is expensive and covered in poop?!?

 

You can use them inside, I use them for my inside decorations. I always get the bulk pack, cheaper by the strip. Can get pricey but super worth it if you don't want to fight nails or double sided tape.

They have big hooks too, for bigger decorations, wreaths, etc.
