You can never have too many Christmas decorations. Even tho I should probably just toss my tree and ornaments in the floor since between the kid and cat....that is where they will end up

That is my goal for today too.

 

Yeah, um...like...I have a problem with decorating. I already have nine different light strands up outside and that is about 1/8th of what I'll eventually have up. I have paid an electrician to run two outdoor plugs on their own circuits so I can put up a ton of lights.

And my cat just "found" our tree. I posted a pic of her last night totally ignoring it. I had the colored lights on this morning, yesterday was only white lights, and if it's the colored lights that attract her we will have a white tree this year, lol. I've also decided I should wrap presents without ribbons this year. I'm not chancing her devil nature. I do have the tree anchored to the wall, so I'm hoping I don't come home to shattered glass one day. I also have a sickness with tree decorations and buy expensive, blown glass ones. My tree is almost all glass ornaments (as in blown glass, or clear, or see through...) excepting the ones the kiddo made growing up.

 

See, now I have to look. My goal is still $0, though.

I am simply being a good aunt and getting my nephews quality Christmas presents.

 

Well hell. Returning my queue. I was going to try and do more work but talking about decorating just got me antsy so now I have to go outside and do more. First I have to mow the lawn to get the leaves up, lol.

Kiddo has his big, annual vendor fair tonight so we have to be there at 3pm to set up...means I only have a couple of hours to appease my addiction so must get out there and start stringing lights together.

I gave my kind-of-not-really nephew a kids drum set when he was 3. I recommend it. Aunting is the best.

I got my nephew a toy accordion for his third birthday. Going to get the oldest boy a keyboard for his 8th.

 

Sounds like you've got the aunt thing on lock, no surprise there. And it's not like you can be criticized when you're just trying to expand their horizons by opening them up to the awesomeness that is music.
