    P.S. in case I just committed a major faux pas, I had never heard of him or even seen his picture until this year. My 16 year old daughter and her friends are all nuts about him. Then they had to explain to me who he was, and I...just...didn't...understand...

    Probably just his relaxing nature. You can't be mad while watching him. It's also a sense of nostalgia probably for them since he's been on PBS since the shows first aired. My kiddo and I watch him and he's picked up on the no mistakes thing. It's so cute.
