When you spend five straight days gearing up for Christmas, and then finally get to be done... only to realized you've been watching your cats basically do this for 30 minutes and feel good again.

 

Me: Alright, when can we expect badges? When do kids even go to bed these days? Lemme ask this marvel of technology I keep hearing about all the time.

 

No worse than the typical first 2-3 pages of google results that are all mommy blogs written by people who have never actually had kids

...actually the fact all these AIs were trained on that garbage is probably explanatory of the end result anyway

isn't there a way to block those blogs so they won't be seen on your devices? we used to use extensions and scripts and stuff for blocking travel sites or whatever for hits.

 

I could start a mean aunt blog. it would just devolve into me being nice though, so it wouldn't really work.

Uh oh, just did some more testing and it looks like in Edge, under certain mysterious conditions, tabs can still get stuck and stop updating their title, even after adding those websites to the never-sleep list. Not seeing this weird behavior in Chrome tho, seems to be only Edge. And let's be honest, if you're using Edge, can I even help you? Can anyone help you?

 

Never mind it happens in Chrome too.



Seems to be RAM pressure related but I'm not 100% sure. I give up. Fuck technology. I'm breaking all my electronics and moving to an Amish farm.
