I'm not sure when they are currently doing it, but a few months ago it would be anywhere from a week to a few months - it seemed like they would add someone when there was a need for more people in their demographic group.

I just did an underpaid study (not the shopping one) on there that had several attention checks near the end of the survey. It was very obvious and blatant that they were trying to get people to miss a few to avoid paying them. Ugh.

 

This crap is super annoying for sure, but I don't think reqs do this to avoid paying people. A researcher is going to toss any rejected answers and they won't be used. Most reqs now seem to be extremely worried about random clickin' fast workers and don't understand how to create surveys that address this issue while also respecting the workers...

 

In this study, you will complete 3 pages of slider tasks.
