Newbie here since Oct 5. Have heard about MTurk for years and have finally decided to see what it's all about. Wow -- there is a lot to learn. I have been enjoying (ok, kinda) the last few weeks, doing some HITS, trying to use my time wisely as I get acclimated to this wild and wacky world of MTurking. I do part time work from home in northern California. Since August there's been a slowdown in my regular projects, so I'm finding that Turking is helping to keep my mind active by doing the HITs and organizing my workflow (using MTurk Suite & TurkerView), plus learning new things is always great for my ole brain. My next step will be to get acquainted to making reviews. I've found TurkerView and Turkopticon to be amazing & so helpful. I actually have a fairly deep Include List and of course a Block List. Wow again! I look forward to sharing with everyone on the boards.
