Hello all!

Over the past few days I have seen mturkers on reddit showing their income from the site. Multiple people are making a substantial amount! One person apparently made 10k in about 6 months! how are they making that much money? Do they get help from scripts or does do you get more opportunities the more Hits you do? What is the secret? Haha. Thank you.

 

10k in 6 months means that the guy doesn't know what he is doing or he would have made much more than that.

I'm a US worker but yeah unless that guy just started turking or only works a few hours a day 10k in 6 months is nothing.

Just improve your workflow and do hits that don't suck also if you find a batch that is good don't share it. Just work on the batch lol

Edit: Oh that was the guy's first 6 months so that explains why the number is low. He has only really been working seriously with an understanding of how not to suck for the past 3 or so months.

 

Wait, so just to clarify. He made 10k as in $10,000 in the first 6 months. Is that not a lot if you're good at mturk? Woah!! lol

 

I mean it is pretty decent for just starting out but yeah that isn't amazin or anything.

Even people that turk while working another job could make $300 ish a week and that is $7200.

As a baseline.

I normally made $700+ a week myself but I turk full time.

Most people seem to have a hard time ever making decent money on the platform but that is mostly due to them not knowing what they are doing as if you ask anyone they will tell you that while I make a decent amount on the platform I am also lazy and pass up a lot of work because it is too high effort for me etc.

I saw that thread as well, and someone later on that got downvoted by quite a bit said it was some script that was around.
I'm still fairly new at this myself, at almost a month in, so I'm still learning the ropes. The information in this thread is fairly good.

 

Another option is that they are not in the US. Looking at US hits there are hundreds of beautiful green hits available right now... Looking at my list of hits in MTurk Suite I have nothing that pays minimum wage. Nada.

I just started two days ago and I have made close to $100 (a lot of hits pending) so I can say myself, being a newbie that 10k in 6 months while a nice chunk of change, isn't a lot of money.

From what I gather these last couple days, turking can be very lucrative if you develop a productive workflow.

My first day all I did was sit and wait for "good" Turks and snatched them up manually. I then did some research and found MTS and took off from there!

They're not lying. For a technically-minded person, or someone who can make his own scripts, those numbers are doable.

I'm late but MF you make how much a week?!?!?!?! I'm full time with this and just starting to hit $250-300 a week. I'm only 2000 approved though so gotta get those numbers up but damn I can only imagine

 

$250-300 is pretty good for someone starting out.

Like others said, work on getting to know the scripts and streamlining your workflow. There are some scripts that will help with batches, but learning how to modify them or create your own from scratch, will help you even more.

He also has masters.

 

Masters helps, but isn't required for making great money on the platform.
