Rejection. It will happen to every single one of us at some point in time. Rejections can happen for a number of reasons. Sometimes it may be your fault. Maybe you read something wrong or even submitted something incomplete. Other times it might come from a shady requester just looking for free work or a requester that had a technical error. Regardless of the reason you received a rejection the first thing you should do is contact the requester and inquire about the rejection. Most emails about a rejection will follow this template: If the requester is rude or avoids responding, we as workers have access to TurkOpticon. (Will be linked to a future TO post) Likewise if the HIT is associated with a university you can try to find the head of the department (or associated IRB: Institutional Review Board) who when properly contacted and given evidence should take the matter seriously.
