    oh, no, I enjoy some chick flicks. well, I used to. long time ago, back when I used to watch movies and tv. ten things I hate about you was one of my favorites, but believe me, there were others. dozens of them.

    yea, on the one hand because he's pretty old now, and on the other hand because he's ... already finished them, if the show is over. I prefer books, because the theatre of my mind usually has better special effects

    It's on that increasingly long list of things I'm planning to watch one day.
    I did see the original Star Wars in high school. My English teacher liked movies.
    LOTR is also on the list of things I intend to watch one day but can't make myself settle down to watch the ridiculous amount of hours it would take to get through them. I've never even had the desire to watch the gangster movies or Rambo but I did see the one Stallone boxing movie where Milo Ventimiglia played his son.

    Getting married at 13 was perfectly normal in the time setting the book represents, to be fair. Choosing to go into detail about it is 100% on the author, however.
