I've done 400 things for them. All approved. I can only hope that the 'good at' might have been a different qual of batch unrelated to the work I've done.

 

The last drive I had (almost) fail was a 2.5 HGST that had over 900,000 load cycles when the norm is around 400,000 for a 2.5. Even then it just had a few crc errors. I have been pretty much sold on the brand since then but they got sparser recently when they are being sold mainly to top tier B2B companies so I found the stats on the WD GOLD and have been happy with them. They come with a 5 year warranty and arent prohibitively pricier than the consumer drives

 

I've done nearly 1800 and I guess my data quality isn't good enough somehow? ? ? ? ?

Okay, I was super hoping it wasn't that I just cocked something up. I've been REALLY bad about failing quals just out of being too stupid to live.

 

What are you doing w/ it specifically? Just curious, I ran a small NAS at my last house for shows so it only really spun up when someone was accessing media.

 

I've done not 1800 but quite a few, and don't have it either. I only got in 7 of the new qual that dropped this morning before I had to leave for work. I hope 7 is enough, but probably not.
