Wow! I've never heard of Geauga Lake. I went to Kings Island a couple of times as a kid but my brother lives very close to there now and his family has a season pass. The kids just spent last week going to the fright nights. :)

I have a very distinct memory of it with some friends of mine...I was still not 100% cool with roller coasters at the time, and I remember when it turned you around to where you faced the ground and did my best Eddie Murphey impression

Haha awesome! I made my Grandpa take me on the Tidal Wave when I was maybe 10? It was a giant loop built in the 70's.... he was so, so pale. But he did buy me one of favorite T-Shirts "I survived the Tidal Wave" :)

Haha, I don't think he is really a threat but I have a feeling once he's free he's going take his ball and deuce out never to be seen again.

Or... He's going to murder them all...

It's true. Although I think if you are from the Midwest you tend to go to a lot of these places. Maybe you are just used to being on the expressway all the time? I've met quite a few people in Maine who have never been out of Maine or the Northeast and can't understand driving 4-5 hours to go to an amusement park etc. It's weird.

There's at least one person who grew up and lived most of their life within 5 miles of where I live now.

Add to that the fact that there are another few that have family connections in the Cleveland area is just interesting to see

I would still be in Cleveland but my mom and dad moved us out west when I was 3. Hence, why I went back to my grandparents every summer vacation. My family still goes to the "feast" every year. Even family who joined us here or further west fly back.

Well... Cleveland does have an awesome football team. :) And there is the lake. And... the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame....And that scary dangerous curve by the lake when you are driving through at midnight.

You have the reverse of me. Your fam went west and you fly back to Cvd. My fam is ALL from Wisconsin (Badgers through and through) but my Dad got a job in Detroit before I was born. So Packers fans in Michigan, and then I betrayed them all by going to Michigan State.
